Heh...yeah I don't know why it's called that. Most of them are named after the person that discovered them, a physical characteristic or the geographical location in which they are found.

Beautiful. I don't think I've ever seen this bird not flying. So they actually do sit still at times!

It's not my fault they have lousy vision. You can walk right up on them and snap their picture. Of course, I have to snap like ten and only one isn't blurry because they're moving at the speed of light...

Yes, quite often. During the beginning of the mating season, the male will perch and sing for hours. He sounds like an old fashioned cash register.
